Good Morning Students,

In order to ensure that we streamline the communication between the academy and students I want to take a few moments to bring some arrangements under your attention:

  • Moodle Platform:  Please note that all communication to students will be done through the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS).  We will ensure that information pertaining to online classes, tests, assignments and exams are timeously scheduled on Moodle.  This means that all final information will be placed at least two weeks prior to such event – This includes the time and scope of the assessment.  We will communicate the date of assessments at least month in advance. This will allow sufficient time for preparation.  It remains the responsibility of each student to visit the LMS as often as possible to ensure that they know when what is required from them.
  • Communication to CEA in so far as missing assignments, test, exams or any other form of assessment.  Students are required to timeously communicate with Anette (anettec@cea.ac.za) to make arrangements.  There are various students that are missing tests, assignment deadlines and even exams which will result in receiving a 0 mark for such assessment if no arrangement is in place.  Missing an exam as a result of any illness will require a Dr’s note in order to be eligible for a re-right.

We acknowledge that the exam times communicated to students that is required to wright the CQS 102 exam is on a shot notice and have therefore extended the date from Monday the 14th of July 2025 to Saturday the of 19th of July 2025 from 09:00 – 12:00.  This exam to be written at the offices of CEA unless arrangements are made to wright online or via an invigilator at a separate location.  Please note that this exam is only scheduled for first intake students on all programmes that is required to wright CQS 102.

In future we endeavour to schedule all exams on a Saturday to accommodate working individuals.

At this stage we wish to apologise for any inconvenience and would want to ensure that you have a pleasant learning experience going forward.

Good luck with the balance of the academic year and the preparation for exams.

KIND REGARDS
